Counseling worksheets to use with your junior Marines (or really anyone). Issue when first meeting the Marines, or when they first check into the unit. Have them update it quarterly to track if there is any progress with their professional and personal goals. Every time you sit down with a Marine, discuss achievements and what the next level of performance looks like. Keep the JEPES metrics in mind (frame your questions around how JEPES scores) – take notes and keep them filed until it is time to input scores. When scores are due you should have the monthly and quarterly counselings available to truly understand the performance of the Marine you’re evaluating.
